First Breath | Mother and Newborn Art Print

One moment, you've never met them. The next, you can't imagine a world without them.

First Breath is an emotional mother and newborn art print from my Breathe collection, capturing those extraordinary first moments of life. A mother holding her newborn baby close, skin to skin, as two people who have shared one body finally meet face to face.

There's something incredibly powerful about those first few breaths. The warmth of their tiny body against yours, the overwhelming relief that they're here, and the sudden realisation that your entire world has changed forever.

As a mother myself, I wanted this painting to capture the intimacy of that moment. Not the polished, picture-perfect version of motherhood, but the raw, beautiful connection between a woman and the baby she's just brought into the world.

Part of my Breathe collection, exploring the defining breaths of our lives, from our first to our last, this piece represents where every story begins.

A meaningful piece of contemporary motherhood art, perfect for a nursery, bedroom or family home. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a new mum, expectant parent or someone celebrating the arrival of a baby.
