Nun of Your Business | Original Nun Acrylic Painting on Canvas

Meet Nun of Your Business, a woman of the cloth who's found a rather unconventional way of getting closer to God.

She's taken a vow of something, but judging by the suspicious powder, it certainly wasn't sobriety.

Part of my People Doing Things They Shouldn't collection at Kauter Studios, this original painting features a nun indulging in recreational use. It's a ridiculous combination of religious respectability and spectacularly questionable behaviour, which is precisely what makes me laugh.

I love creating artwork that makes people look twice. Something that seems fairly innocent at first glance, until you realise what's actually going on. There's something particularly entertaining about taking someone associated with strict rules and good behaviour and painting them doing the complete opposite.

Hand-painted in acrylic on canvas, Nun of Your Business combines bold illustrative styling with dark humour and a healthy disregard for expectations. It's contemporary wall art for people who appreciate a bit of controversy, a good joke and artwork that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Whether you're decorating a home with unusual original art, collecting humorous paintings or simply looking for something that will make your guests say, "What the actual fuck?", this one's probably right up your street.

This is a completely original painting, created and signed by me. There's only one, so once she's gone, she's gone.
