Out of Breath | Original Acrylic Painting

Sometimes life leaves us breathless. Not because something beautiful has happened, but because we've pushed ourselves to the point where we simply can't go any further.

Out of Breath is an original acrylic painting from my Breathe collection, capturing a woman bent over, hands resting on her knees, desperately trying to catch her breath.

It's such an ordinary moment, one we've all experienced. Running for a bus, pushing ourselves through exercise, chasing something just out of reach. That moment when our bodies demand that we stop, even when our minds are telling us to keep going.

But for me, this painting is about more than physical exhaustion. It's about how often we spend our lives rushing. Racing towards the next achievement, the next responsibility, the next thing we're supposed to be doing. We push ourselves, sometimes without even knowing what we're running towards, until eventually something forces us to stop.

Part of my Breathe collection, which explores the defining breaths of our lives, from our first to our last, this painting represents the breath we have to stop and find again.

But sometimes, the most important thing we can do is recognise when we've had enough and allow ourselves a moment to catch our breath.
