The Breath Before Yes | Original Acrylic Painting

The Breath Before Yes is an original acrylic painting from my Breathe collection, capturing the moment when someone asks you to spend the rest of your life with them.

I wanted to capture the moment before the celebrations, the wedding plans and the photographs. That tiny, suspended moment when two people are standing on the edge of a future they haven't lived yet, but already know they want to share.

There's something incredibly vulnerable about asking someone to love you for a lifetime. And something equally beautiful about being asked. It's hope, fear, excitement and absolute certainty somehow existing together in a single breath.

Because the most meaningful part of a proposal isn't necessarily the question or even the answer. It's the feeling when you realise someone has chosen you. Not just for who you are today, but for every version of yourself that you have been and you'll become.

Part of my Breathe collection, which explores the defining breaths of our lives, from our first to our last, this painting represents the breath before a promise that could last a lifetime.

A emotional piece of contemporary figurative art, celebrating love, vulnerability and the courage it takes to imagine forever with another person.
