Existing Is Expensive | Funny Unmotivational Quote Print

Existing Is Expensive is for anyone who's ever looked at their monthly outgoings and wondered why simply being alive costs quite so much. You work, you pay bills, you buy food, and then, just when you think you might have a bit left over, something breaks. Usually something expensive.

I've put this painfully relatable quote over a beautiful tropical beach painting, because there's something particularly cruel about staring at paradise while knowing you can barely afford a weekend in Clacton.

I think this might be one of my more honest pieces of uninspiring wall art. There's no encouragement to work harder, manifest wealth or start a side hustle. Frankly, I think we're all doing quite enough already. Sometimes you just want to buy a coffee without mentally calculating whether it's going to affect your retirement plans.

This funny unmotivational quote print is for anyone who appreciates sarcastic humour, realistic life advice and home décor that acknowledges the absolute financial inconvenience of being an adult. It would look great in a kitchen, living room or home office, preferably somewhere you can admire it while ignoring another bill.

Part of my Kauter Studios collection of anti-motivational quote prints, combining beautiful tropical artwork with the sort of wonderfully depressing observations we all think but probably shouldn't put on motivational posters.
